Obituary for Nelson L. Santiago
Nelson “Tata” Luis Santiago, 66, of Minneola Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 31, 2023 in his home with his family at his side.
Nelson was born on March 30, 1957 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. He is the son of the late Isabel Gonzalez. Nelson is the loving husband of Aida Ivonne Santiago, of whom he’s been married 33 years. He was a hardworking, loving, passionate man and an exemplary husband, father, and friend. He enjoyed time with his family, music, and anything to do with his strong, Catholic faith. Nelson was a light to all, bringing love and boisterous laughter to those who were blessed to meet him; his influence is forever recognized.
He is survived by his wife Aida Ivonne, their four children, and his 11 grandchildren. Wendolyn, Judette, Narlyn, and Nelson Omar are his legacy, furthering his love with Xavier Luis, Aidangelly, Aliza, Isabelle, Jack, Lily, Steven Daniel, Noah Nelson, Zoey, Ariel Basilio, and Ayanna.
Nelson’s family invite his friends and relatives to the Winter Oak Funeral Home on June 2, 2023 at 6-8 pm for his viewing. Following this, all are welcome to attend his commemorative mass on Saturday June 3, 2023 at 12 pm to honor his legacy in faith. This will be held at his parish, Resurrection Catholic Church.
