Obituary for Ampelio "Elio" Isetti

Ampelio “Elio” Isetti, 86, of Gotha, Florida passed away in his home on Monday April 6, 2024, with his daughter, Marina, by his side.

Elio was born on September 13, 1937, in Parma Italy. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Rose Rhodes Isetti and his parents, Giuseppe Isetti and Gemma Aldoviti.

Elio worked at the Ford Truck plant in Louisville Kentucky for 40 years and made many good friends there. He enjoyed his church family at friends at the First Unitarian Church. He was an avid gardener, traveled extensively with his wife and cherished his family in Italy. He loved to go back to Italy to visit and to have his family come to America. He loved good wine, good food and had a wonderful sense of humor. He spent over 60 years in Louisville Kentucky where he raised his family. In 2021 he moved to Florida to live in Gotha with Marina and Tim. He truly enjoyed the Florida weather and lifestyle. Over the last year he was lucky enough to find a new love in his life, Glenda Acton whom he adored.

He is survived by his daughters Marina O’Rourke and husband (Tim) of Gotha Florida and Giulia Isetti of Berwyn Illinois, his brothers, Alfredo Isetti, Silvano Isetti, Franco Isetti and wife (Marta Guerci), his sister Silvana and their many children and grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held in the coming months in Florida and will be announced here.
