Paul Mitchell Barney, age 82, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on June 10, 2026.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Navy Corpsman from 1963 to 1967.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Doris (Dillamore) Barney.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Susan DeVaux Barney; his daughter, Toni Barney Murphy (Fergus) of St. Cloud, Florida; his sons, Paul R. Barney (Tammie) of Clermont, Florida, and Kregg Barney (Kathleen) of Plainfield, Illinois; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Paul graduated from Lockport High School and spent many years living in Western New York before moving to Orlando in 1985. He retired from Disney in 2010.

Paul had a remarkable gift for filling every room with laughter through his quick wit, sarcasm, and unforgettable sense of humor. He was an incredible father and a beloved PopPop—not only to his own family, but also to the many friends he welcomed and treated as family. His kindness, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
