It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ricardo Matos, who entered eternal rest on June 9, 2026, at Health Central Hospital in Orlando, Florida.

Ricardo was born on May 22, 1982, in the Bronx, New York, and throughout his life was known for his hardworking spirit, loving heart, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.

Ricardo was a dedicated employee of Barfield Fencing and Fabrication, where he worked in the field and was respected for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellence. He took great pride in his work and was admired by those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Above all else, Ricardo cherished his family. He was the beloved son of Cookie Ramos and Sergio Matos Jr. He was a devoted father to his two sons, Ricardo Matos Jr. and Anthony Matos, whom he loved beyond measure and whose lives will forever be shaped by his guidance, strength, and unconditional love.

Ricardo is also survived by his loving siblings: Isabella DiMartino, Sophia DiMartino, and Jonathan Ovalles. He leaves behind many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will deeply miss his presence, kindness, and infectious smile.

Those who knew Ricardo will remember him for his generous nature, his sense of humor, and his willingness to help others. He had a way of making people feel welcomed and valued, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of others will never be forgotten. We find comfort in the memories he leaves behind and in the love that will continue to connect us to him forever.
