It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bryan Martin, a man of boundless energy and intelligence. Bryan passed on July 2 nd , 2026, after a three-year long battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer. He never gave up and stayed strong for the people who mattered most. Through his 54 years of life, he has touched many lives with his wisdom, humor and an unwavering spirit of perseverance.

Bryan loved spending time with friends and family. Being the life of the party, he often made those around him laugh. He loved spending time at Disney, local water parks, and Florida beaches with his wife, boys and friends. Bryan made any location an unforgettable experience. He loved playing volleyball with Liam and basketball with Grayson, until he began to lose his battle with cancer. He loved teaching his boys different life skills to set them up for success in life, making sure they were able to traverse through adulthood. In his off time, he enjoyed finding new local breweries and sampling craft beer, and especially loved a good hazy IPA. He was always up for any new adventure and was an avid road biker, before cancer took his strength. Nonetheless, he always made sure to live life to the fullest, even through the challenging times.

Bryan's legacy of humor when times were tough, perseverance when things weren’t going well, and knowledge for when anyone, as we were unsure of what was next, will be carried by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His remarkable life will forever be an inspiration, and a testament to the power of an indomitable spirit enthused with curiosity and resilience. 

He will be greatly missed, forever remembered, and will be around, even if the room may seem empty without him.

Bryan was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Martin, where she will continue to cherish to him. His laugh, his life, and his presence will forever be felt by his loving wife, Gena Martin, loving sons, Liam and Grayson Martin, as well as his father, Dennis Martin, who were the lights of his life, will carry on the legacy of Bryan and ensure he will be remembered forever.

A private memorial service celebrating the exceptional life of Bryan Martin will be held in Huntley, to be announced at a later time.
