Don Schafhauser of Orlando, Florida, passed away on July 28, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on February 4, 1951, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Don was a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle who will be remembered with love by his family and all who knew him.

Don had an extraordinary capacity for enjoying life, sharing both his wonderful sense of humor and his deep passion for music with those around him. Music shaped Don’s life from his earliest years and he embraced many styles, including rock, opera, Broadway, and classical. Throughout his life he shared his musical gifts in both professional and personal settings including faithfully serving as worship team leader in several churches. It was worship music that deeply captivated him, reflecting his faith, inspiring others to join him in praise, and bringing joy and meaning to those who knew him.

He is survived by his cherished wife, Be Schafhauser; his daughter, JMei Schafhauser, for whom his love knew no bounds; his sister, Maryann Colandrea and her husband, Gary, of New Jersey; his brother, Paul Schafhauser of North Carolina; a niece; four nephews; and much-loved great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Family Church, 300 Main Street, Windermere, Florida 34786. In true Don fashion, this gathering will be a time of joy—a real party filled with music, laughter, memories, and love.

Don’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His family invites friends and loved ones to honor his life and cherish the memories they shared with him.

May his music, faith, and love continue to echo in the lives of all who were blessed to know him.
