Davenport, FL-Normer Robertson passed away in Florida.
Normer was born August 29, 1935, in Bluefield, WV to Herman and Ione Robertson. After High School he joined the US Navy in November 1952 and served on the USS Yosemite during the Korean War. After his time in the service he became a maintenance worker for an apartment complex named Old Salem Village, where he met and married Maria G. Becerra. Before being married they had a son Kevin Robertson.
He lived in Virginia for many years and after retiring from his position with Old Salem Village, he and his family moved to Davenport FL. Normer held a few other jobs to keep busy in his retirement but ultimately gave in to just sitting at home and relaxing with his wife of 30 years of marriage.
His interests included family, reading, and watching Spanish TV Novelas. He devoted much of his time and energy to provide a life for his family that was better than his own growing up. He was charming, funny and would draw you in with his southern hospitality. Normer is survived by his sisters Elizabeth and Freda; Wife Maria, Son Kevin, and his three grandsons Nicholas, Brandon, and Alexander.
Cremation has taken place under the guidance of DJ Enea Family Funeral and Cremation Care, 1132 E. Plant St., Winter Garden, FL. A memorial service will take place at the convenience of the family.
