Today we gather to honor our precious Andrea who sadly passed before her time. Also known almost universally as Baby Dre of Miami Ink fame, she was an icon in the New York, Los Angeles, and South Beach, Miami entertainment and fashion industries. She appeared as shop manager for the tattoo artists of Miami Ink in many episodes, and was heavily involved in the fashion styling, club management, and social scenes in all these venues.
She was a vibrant and creative artist who loved her music, and the ability to create the looks and images so popular in the fashion industry today. She is survived by her sisters Sylvia and Ashley, her father Thomas, his wife Sandria and her mother Samira OBrien, and her husband Bassam.
She was born in Brevard County but spent most of her life growing up in Winter Garden. She graduated from West Orange high School, and left home to begin a new life in Miami in the fashion and music industries. She would ultimately also travel to Los Angeles and New York , before eventually returning to Florida.
She is now in God’s hands and free of the burdens that life sometimes presents to those living lives to the fullest without pause. Her impact on the entertainment and fashion industries was significant and she will be deeply missed by her immediate family, friends and business associates who had the pleasure of working with her.
Her spirit remains in the sun, the wind, and the rain, and in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched. She is now free of her earthly bonds, and the pain and fears that sometimes challenged her as she moved through this life.
Her spirit shall surely be with us today, and indeed, for all eternity.
Today and always we celebrate you!
