James Thomas Newkirk, 76, of Clermont Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Osceola Regional Hospital in Kissimmee, Florida with his loving family by his side.
James was born on June 5, 1939 in Albany, New York, the son of the late Floyd Leonard Newkirk and Frances Marie (Kulzer) Newkirk. James was the loving husband to Ida (Jackson) Newkirk.
James was a maintenance worker in the industrial Industry for many years, retiring in 2010. He served his country proudly as a Lance Corporal in the United State Marine Corps. He enjoyed all sports especially football and NASCAR.
Besides his wife, Ida, he is survived by five children: William Newkirk and wife Claudia, of Wheatland California, Greg Newkirk of California, Rich Kutza and wife Lauren of Clermont, Florida, John O-Such of New Jersey and Susan O-Such-Toth and husband Steven of Edison, New Jersey. He was the father of late Florence Campbell. He leaves seven Grandchildren: James Toner, Casey Grahl, Brooke Quttaineh, Rebecca O-Such, Victoria O-Such, Brynlee Kutza, and Joey Campbell. Three Great-Grandchildren: Victoria Toner, James Toner Jr. and Jordan Quttaineh.
